The old coating on this Metal Roof was totally worn out. It was cracking peeling and blistering all over allowing water to seep underneath the coating and cause erosion and rust.
We took a three step process to correct these problems.
Step 1- we scraped and wire brushed the complete surface to remove as much of the old coating as possible.
Step 2 - we Applied a self adhesive sealant to areas that had rusted through and around the flashing on the vent pipes.
Step 3- we brush applied a coating of heavy duty asphalt based aluminum roof coating.
This coating is meant to completely seal the rust and add years of protection to the metal roof saving the customer thousands of dollars in the process compared to a new metal roof.
